Want great prices on books?  Use Twitter!

Sandra Kugisaki-Ongie has the inside scoop on how to use Twitter to find great deals on books for your library.  Come to the session to learn her secret!

Everything I know I learned on Twitter...
well, almost everything.

How did I get hooked?  I found the right people to follow and read their Tweets.  I searched for guru librarians like Joyce Valenza, Buffy Hamilton & Carl Harvey II and followed them.  I discovered a collection of 21st Century Learning slide shows at Slideshare.net by an educator from Singapore.  I started following her.  I stumbled upon the iLearntechnology.com blog by Kelly Tenkely and started following her too.  (I also have my frivolous passions like  following Otto's cheesecakes for the flavors of the day & film director David Slade for the inside scoop on Eclipse tidbits).  95% of what I know about incorporating technology into instruction I learned from Twitter!
